Welcome to the digital gallery of “Animals and Flags”, a unique art collection created over the course of four years.

This collection brings together 196 original vector illustrations, each carefully crafted with attention to detail and artistic consistency. Every image combines national animals with the colors, patterns, and symbols of their countries’ flags, creating a vivid fusion of culture, nature, and identity.

The project began in early 2021 with a simple idea: to visually connect national animals with the colors and symbols of their countries’ flags. What started as a series of simple illustrations gradually evolved into a more detailed and refined body of work.

The Story Behind the NFT Collection

Over time, the style became more consistent, compositions more balanced, and each piece more expressive. Some of the early artworks were revisited and improved, allowing the collection to grow not only in size, but also in quality.

This evolution is part of the project itself — a visual journey that reflects both creative exploration and continuous refinement.

Over time, the project evolved into an ambitious goal: to illustrate the national animals of all recognized countries in the world. Researching countries without officially recognized symbolic animals meant studying their history, geography, wildlife, and local culture — ensuring each choice was meaningful and accurate.

Fun fact: during the long creative process, the flag of Honduras changed its color in 2022, with dark blue stripes and stars turning turquoise. The images had to be updated to reflect this change — a small but memorable challenge in the journey.

Some countries’ national animals are mythical or no longer exist locally. In these cases, the creatures were depicted as monuments, sculptures, or stylized interpretations, blending imagination with reality.

Today, the collection stands as a celebration of global diversity, geography, and the fascinating connections between animals and national symbols — all brought together in a unique NFT art gallery.

For four years, almost every day, all my free time I devoted to creating my collection. Here is an approximate progress of work on one image.

Once all 196 images were ready, I started posting them on Instagram, Twitter, and Deviantart, and also launched the NFT collection on OpenSea and Rarible on the Ethereum blockchain.
